Popular annual festival to celebrate the best of Northeast Florida music,
food, arts and crafts and family fun June 12 and 13

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla., April 14, 2021 -- Jax Beach Festivals and Community First Credit Union announce the Ninth Annual Community First Seawalk Music Festival featuring two days of free entertainment will be held on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday June 13, 2021. While the festival is traditionally held the last weekend of February, organizers met with Jacksonville Beach city officials and rescheduled the festival to June out of an abundance of caution related to Covid-19. The festival aims to help North Florida musicians, artists, small businesses, and food vendors affected by the pandemic.

“We are so pleased to be able to continue this Jacksonville Beach tradition,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First. “This outdoor event provides entertainment for attendees as well as economic support to all its participants as well as beaches merchants. Extending it to a two-day event gives more opportunities to get out to the Seawalk and have a great time supporting our local musicians.”

Unless conditions change, the outdoor festival plans to welcome attendees without capacity restrictions or mask mandates. Jax Beach Festivals will ensure all current Covid-19 safety protocols are used by attendees, vendors and musicians. More about the protocols for attendees will be updated at www.communityfirstseawalkmusicfest.com.

“I am so glad to see some of our longtime, outdoor community events come back safely for all to enjoy,” said Jacksonville Beach Mayor Christine Hoffman. “The free Community First Seawalk Music Festival is a well-loved event, and we are thrilled to see it continue to lift up all-local artists, vendors and performers.” The festival is free to attend, and is family friendly, with an entertainment zone dedicated to the festival’s youngest attendees. It will include additional vendor and food booths. The festival will be held 12:30 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion. Confirmed acts include Souls of Joy, Seagate, Mandalia, A Few Miles South, Bridget Kelly Band, Curt Towne Band, Split Tone, Second Shot, Sweet Melissa and The Shine.

“We’re so thankful for our title sponsor, Community First Credit Union, whose commitment to celebrating local culture has helped power this growing festival,” said Sam Veal, festival director. “We couldn’t do this without Community First and all of our amazing sponsor partners. They have led the way in holding this festival to Jacksonville Beach each year.”
