Community First members have access to notary services at our branch locations. Learn more about this convenient benefit below.

Requirements
To take advantage of notary services at Community First branches, you must:
- Be a Community First account holder
- Present valid ID at time of service
Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Unexpired driver's license or state-issued ID card
- Unexpired passport
- U.S. Military ID. Must be current or issued within the past 5 years.

Additional Information
The following documents can't be notarized:
- Last wills and testaments, including living wills and healthcare surrogate designations
- Deeds, including first mortgage, second mortgage & HELOC deeds
- Power of Attorney documents
- Estate and Guardianship documentation
- I9 forms
- Trust paperwork
Notaries also cannot notarize:
- Incomplete documents
- Documents signed by someone that has been adjudicated mentally incapacitated
- Documents for which the notary has a financial interest in, or is a party to the underlying transaction
- A signature of a previously signed document for someone who is not present. The person signing the document must be present to take the oath or make the acknowledgement
- Photographs
- A signature on a document unless the notary personally knows the signer or has satisfactory evidence of identification
Notaries at Community First branches cannot:
- Give legal advice unless they are a licensed attorney
- Act as a notary after their commission expires
