Since 1935, the story of Community First has unfolded from our launch in a high school basement as the Duval County Teachers Credit Union, to an 19-branch, more than 167,000-member financial institution open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in one of the following counties: Baker, Brevard, Broward, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Nassau, Orange, Palm Beach, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, or Volusia. Membership is also open to any relative of an existing or eligible Community First Credit Union of Florida member. We also offer membership to Select Employer Groups, including all employees of Brooks Rehabilitation, Miller Electric Company, and Web.com.

For more than 89 years our growth has occurred alongside industry developments ranging from the introduction of telephone tellers and ATMs to online account management and mobile banking. With advanced technology, member trust and the strategic direction of the credit union’s leadership, Community First has evolved and grown into the billion-dollar organization it is today.
