Community First Credit Union Celebrates the Grand Opening of its New Wildlight Branch

Freestanding branch opens as credit union expands to 25 locations

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 24, 2026 – Community First Credit Union, one of Florida’s largest credit unions, has officially opened its newest freestanding branch location at 148 Kindred Ln. in Wildlight in Nassau County. Community First held a grand opening and ribbon cutting Thursday with its board, leadership and staff along with local business and political leaders and Raydient Places + Properties, the master developer of Wildlight.

“Wildlight is one of the fastest-growing parts of our metro area,” said Sam Inman, president and CEO of Community First. “Serving our community one member at a time is our purpose, and this new branch gives our members convenient access to an incredible local team that’s here to help them with the financial services and products they need, right in their own neighborhood.”

The Wildlight Branch is a 3,100-square-foot, freestanding location with a drive-thru, two ATMs and the credit union’s signature tower feature. Auld and White Constructors built the branch, TTV Architects designed the new branch, and NAI Hallmark manages the property.

Community First has served Nassau since 2008. It has more than 12,000 members in the county with approximately 2,000 in the Wildlight area. The Wildlight Branch will be Community First’s third branch in Nassau County where it has a branches in the Villages of Amelia shopping center and in the Town of Callahan.

Community First is expanding and improving its branch network, aiming to enhance member service. Designed with Community First's updated branch concept, its new branches have open floor plans, upgraded digital technologies, and a historical mural depicting the history of the locations.

Community First has added six new branches since 2022 when it had 19 locations across the First Coast. The credit union has future branches in development including its Murray Hill Branch, which is under construction, along with future branches in Treaty Oaks in St. Johns County and in Middleburg and Green Cove Springs in Clay County. It has a future branch planned for Fernandina Beach on Sadler Rd. at Will Hardee Dr.
