Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens Announces the Return of Colors of the Wild, Presented by Community First Credit UnionĀ

All-new handcrafted lanterns, themed nights, and festive experiences light up select nights November through February 

Jacksonville, FLA. – Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens today announced Colors of the Wild, presented by Community First Credit Union, returns on November 22nd with an entirely new collection of handcrafted lanterns for an experience unlike any other. 

As one of the largest Asian lantern events in the country, this year’s journey takes you from the depths of the ocean to the vast African savanna, then into the realm of mystical creatures from Asia, all illuminated in breathtaking detail. As twilight falls, the Zoo transforms into a shimmering Winter Wonderland, complete with sparkling lights and holiday cheer. 

“Colors of the Wild is one of Jacksonville’s most beloved seasonal celebrations, and this year’s event will be more spectacular than ever,” said Nikki Smith, Chief Philanthropy and Marketing Officer at Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens. “We’re so grateful to Community First Credit Union for helping us bring this stunning display of light, art, and nature to life once again for our community.” 

“This event is one of those special traditions that families and friends look forward to all year,” said Sam Inman, President and CEO of Community First Credit Union. “We love helping our community make new memories, and it’s even better knowing that this event directly supports the vital conservation and education work of the Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens.” 

Colors of the Wild will take place on select nights from November through February, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and each ticket includes early Zoo admission starting at 3 p.m. 

Guests can look forward to a variety of special experiences throughout the season, including a member-only preview night on November 21, offering an exclusive first look before the event opens to the public. Opening Night and Santa’s Arrival on November 22 will feature live music, cookies, cocoa, and festive giveaways as the holiday spirit fills the Zoo. Families can also 

visit Santa on select nights from November 22 through December 24, enjoy a festive Holiday Market from December 17–21 featuring local vendors and seasonal gifts, and festive themed nights. 

Member pricing starts at $10 for the Preview Night and $20–$25 for general admission, while non-member tickets are $25–$35
