Employee Development
At Community First Credit Union, we're dedicated to career development. Below are just some of the ways we support continuing education for our employees.
The Northeast Florida Credit Union Chapter of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) offers a Credit Union Education Program (CUEP). Community First covers the costs (pays tuition, fees, and books) for all current employees attending credit union courses at Florida State College of Jacksonville (Kent Campus). Courses include: Foundation and Structure of Credit Unions, Human Behavior, Credit Union Mathematics, and Fundamentals of Member Services. You can choose to complete a 6-course program or a 12-course program. Upon completion of either program, employees receive a certificate of completion, monetary incentive, and participate in a graduation ceremony. Additional benefits include networking with other credit union professionals across the region.
Tuition Reimbursement - Community First will reimburse a portion of tuition, fees, and books paid by an employee to a regionally accredited, post-secondary educational institution. The employee must be classified as full-time or part-time and must have worked at the credit union for 90 days. The classes are required to be job-related.
Job Related Certifications and Professional Organization Memberships - Community First will pay membership dues or participation fees to professional organizations for executive and management personnel.
