The credit union will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This includes our downtown headquarters and all of our branches. For your convenience, Online and Mobile Banking services are available 24/7.

With our Debit Card Services feature, you can manage your Community First debit cards if any of them are misplaced, lost, or stolen. No need to worry – just sign into Community First Online Banking and Freeze or Capture any cards you have on file with us.

Instructions

Log into Online Banking. In the Services tab, click Debit Card Services.

  1. Choose a card from the “Select a Card” drop-down menu.
  2. Select whether you need to Freeze or Capture your card from the “Select a Service” drop-down menu.
  3. Click the Submit button when you are finished.

When to Freeze vs. Capture

How do you know if you should Freeze or Capture your Community First debit card? What's the difference?

Freeze!

You should Freeze your card if you temporarily misplaced your debit card and don't want to change your debit card number. It's easy to Unfreeze your account later if you find your card. Freezing your card lets us know that you don't want us to authorize any new purchases, cash advances, or balance transfers until you Unfreeze. By Freezing, you are temporarily deactivating your debit card.

Capture!

If you think your card is lost or stolen, you should choose the Capture option. This will prevent in-store purchases and point-of-sale transactions associated with this card. This will let us know that we need to send you a new debit card with a new account number. By Capturing, you are permanently deactivating your debit card.
