We have several security measures in place to ensure your Internet connection is protected, and your data is kept safe and secure. To protect you, Community First Credit Union will never email or telephone you requesting your personal or account information. To protect yourself against fraud; never provide personal or financial information such as; Check or credit card numbers, PINs, Social Security numbers or passwords to unsolicited phone, email or pop-up website requests. Be sure to check your account information regularly for possible unauthorized transactions. eBranch, our online banking system, is free and available any time and any where there is Internet access.

Browser

You can only connect using a browser that supports encryption. This protects data as it travels across the Internet.

Individual Password Protection

When you sign up for eBranch, our online banking system, Community First Credit Union asks you to create your own user name and password. This information is encrypted during its transmission to our server. Our recommendation is to avoid the use of your Social Security number, your address components or your birthday.

Timed Logout

Community First Credit Union’s systems will automatically log you out after 10 minutes of inactivity. This combats the risk of others accessing your information from an unattended computer.

Encryption

Immediately upon leaving your computer, all online access and Online Bill Pay sessions are encrypted. During any transaction, our 128-bit encryption turns your information into code making it nearly impossible for unwanted intruders to decode. Look for the “closed lock” icon in the lower corner of your web browser to determine if encryption is being used on any webpage you are viewing.

Secure Firewall

Our computer systems are protected 24 hours a day by a powerful firewall that blocks entry by unauthorized parties. Your computer’s web browser must know the proper protocol or language to access out systems and then only selected information is available.

We monitor Online Banking 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
