Community First Announces New C1 Youth Advantage Accounts

New Line of Financial Services Just for Kids, Teens and Young Adults

Community First Credit Union of Florida announced today that it is adding a new line of products especially designed for children, teens and youth. The C1 Youth Advantage program starts Monday, April 21, and will include checking, savings, certificates of deposits and other features for youth.

Developed in phases to meet the specific needs of children, “tweens,” teens and young adults, the C1 Advantage program offers higher interest rates and convenient options for children, teens, parents and grandparents to help kids save as they grow.

One special feature is a flexible term Certificate of Deposit for youth up to age 24. Purchasers can open the CD for as little as $100 and add to it over time, in increments as low as $25. The CD can be opened for six, 12, 18 months or longer. C1 Advantage Youth account holders age 13 and older also are eligible for a Reloadable Visa® Student Card. The card allows parents to manage the limits with a prepaid card the child can use anywhere Visa is accepted.

Students age 15 and older can also opt for C1 Free checking with a Visa Check Card. In addition, older teens and young adults who are approved for their first auto loan will receive a gift card for $50 they can use to fill up their first tank of gas. Students enrolled full-time in college also are pre-approved for a $1,000 student credit card.

There are fun activities for kids online at www.CommunityFirstFL.org, where they can meet C. More Money, an interactive character designed to help children learn more about how to save and watch their money grow.

More details about the special program, including special gifts for kids and teens who open C1 Advantage Youth Accounts, will be available in all Community First Credit Union branches starting April 21. For more information, log on to www.CommunityFirstFL.org, or call 904.354.8537 or 800.342.8416.
