The Story of Community First Credit Union of Florida

Like a tree, an organization is only as strong as its roots. Since our founding in a high school basement in 1935 as the Duval County Teachers Credit Union, we have always been strengthened by a solid foundation. Our roots reflect the basic core values that guide us: Dedicated service to the community through trust, respect, responsibility and reliability. As a financial partner to thousands of families, we understand what products and services are most important. And we have always recognized that it is only our people—members and employees—that make this credit union truly special.

This commitment to our foundation… to our mission… to our roots… will never change.

Our credit union also has a long history of growing to meet community needs as they develop. Over the years, we have branched out in many ways—geographically (more locations in more counties); through service offerings (new financial and investment products); and in the people we serve (everyone who lives and works in the region).
